Howl-In 8/16/08
We went to the Howl-In at Wolf Haven this weekend. Even though it was crazy hot for Washington (95+), we had a great time.
There was a cool contemplative spot where you could leave your positive thoughts for the animals who have to live out their lives at the sanctuary. Here's Matthew leaving his note.
At the end, they had a howling competition for the kiddos. Matthew was brave, and wanted to howl, too. He was so cute, and one of the smallest - but his howl was mighty. :) I'm not sure how, but he won! Must have been giving out extra points for adorable.
(Photo re-enactment...Mommy didn't have the camera during the contest.)
It was an amazing time, and the wolves even honored us with three different choruses of their own. I can't wait to go back for a full tour.
Sorry this is so short... I'm tired. But three new photos, so Woot! for that! Goodnight all. Don't forget to howl at the moon once in awhile.
